<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma torch structure that enables a sound joining to be realized in the joint between the tip end nozzle and the inner/outer cylinder of the nozzle in a plasma torch nozzle cylinder. <P>SOLUTION: The plasma torch structure is characterized in that a plasma arc generating electrode tip 9 is arranged in the center of the plasma torch, with a nozzle cylinder 2 arranged surrounding this electrode tip 9, that the nozzle cylinder 2 is composed of a tip end nozzle, a nozzle outer cylinder (outer cylinder) and a nozzle inner cylinder (inner cylinder), and that the joint between the tip end nozzle 7 and the outer cylinder and the joint between the tip end nozzle 7 and the inner cylinder are welded by hot isotropic pressure welding, in either one or both joints. The outer cylinder consists of a nozzle outer sleeve 3 and a joining member 4, while the inner cylinder consists of a nozzle inner sleeve 5 and a joining member 4. The joint between the tip end nozzle 7 and the joining member 4 is welded by hot isotropic pressure welding, while the joint between the joining member 4 and the nozzle outer sleeve 3 is fusion welded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
