The invention relates to an self-adjustable obesity-treating gastric ring composed of an external part made of cohesive medical silicone and an internal part made of a reservoir with membrane semi-permeable to water molecules. The reservoir containshigh osmotic pressure liquid and is gradually inflated by input water molecules issued from the liquids of the belly region until its osmotic pressure balances the hydrostatic pressure of the stomach walls. In case that an edema of the stomach wall occurs, the hydrostatic pressure augments and the water molecules is withdrawn from the reservoir to leave thus the necessary space. |
