The wall rail for a shelf system has recesses (12) for installing support elements and formed so that they form an installation/detachment position for the support element in which the latter is detachable from the wall, and form a support position in which the support element by a fastening protrusion (22) is not detachable from the wall rail (10), wherein the support element by horizontal movement and/or rotation around an axis is movable perpendicularly to the wall plane between the installation/detachment position and the support position.
