A method of determining geographical location, the method comprising taking a picture of a sign; and analysing the picture data to extract a location code which is indicative of a geographical location. Alternatively the location code may be input via a user input device such as a keypad. A plurality of signs are distributed in the environment, each sign including a visual representation of a location code which is indicative of the geographical location of the respective sign. The signs are distributed by receiving a sign request from a client; and transmitting location code information to the client in response to the sign request to enable the client to print a sign using the location code information. The location code may be encoded as a Gray Code. |
