A device 2 for applying an antimicrobial material to a limb of a subject comprises a reservoir 10 of the antimicrobial material. At least one spray nozzle is in fluid communication with the reservoir, and each spray nozzle has an outlet from which the antimicrobial material is ejectable in the form of a spray. The device has a housing 4 with an interior 8 adapted to receive the spray nozzle outlet so as to localise the spray interiorly. The housing has an exterior adapted or adaptable to permit access of the limb to the interior.
