The invention discloses a method for processing a file received based on an instant communication service. The method comprises the following steps: determining whether the file which is transmitted through the instant communication service is the suspicious file with a virus; if the file is the suspicious file with the virus, storing the received file in a first file storage area, wherein the file does not influence system safety of a terminal when operating in the first file storage area; when an instruction which is used to open the file stored in the first file storage area is received, simulating and opening the file which is indicated to be opened in the first file storage area; according to an execution result of file on which simulation open is performed, after the file on which the simulation open is performed is determined to be the unsafe file, carrying out deletion or isolation processing on the file on which the simulation open is performed. Damages caused by the file with the virus after being opened by the terminal to the safety of the terminal system can be controlled, wherein the file is transmitted through the instant communication service. |
