<p>A contact connector assembly (100), which is adapted to be used in a sensor-dispensinginstrument (20) that contains electrochemical test sensors (12, 54), comprisesat least four electrical contacts (102), a housing connector (104), a base connector(106) and a moveable mechanism (108). The housing connector forms a housing openingthat is adapted to receive the at least four electrical contacts. The base connectoris coupled to the housing connector and forms a sensor-receiving opening (140a).The base or housing connector is adapted to move between first and second positions.The moveable mechanism is coupled to the housing or base connector. The moveablemechanism is adapted to move the base or housing connector between the first andsecond positions. The housing and base connectors are adapted to be coupled ina first position such that they are adapted to hold one of the test sensors. Thehousing and base connectors are adapted to be coupled in a second position suchthat they allow the tes t sensor to be removed therefrom.</p> |
