An imaging device and a method for detecting a defect state of the imaging device are provided to check an abnormal state or a normal state of the imaging device in real-time, thereby allowing a service man to easily confirm the defect state of the imaging device. A power supply unit(10) supplies an electric power to N boards in an imaging device. A controller(70) compares the amount of electric power supplied to each board with a predetermined amount of electric power and determines the variation of electric power. When the variation of electric field is founded in a predetermined board as a determinant result of the controller, a display unit(50) outputs the error state of the predetermined board. |
