A method of restoring cellular telephone communications to an area isolated by a man-made or natural disaster. A first step involves deploying at least one temporary cellular telephone communications tower in the area of the disaster to reestablish cellular telephone communications. A second step involves deploying at least one vehicle equipped with a bank of cellular telephone recharging units powered by a portable generator and providing a cellular telephone recharging service to enable residents in the area to use the bank of cellular telephone recharging units to recharge thei r cellular telephones so that they can take advantage of the reestablished cellular telephone communications. |
