<p>The airbag cover has an intermediate layer (5) which is arranged between a decor layer (1) and a spacer mesh (6). The intermediate layer is intact in the region of a tear line. The intermediate layer is tearable only under a force substantially perpendicular to plane of the decor layer. The decor layer and the spacer mesh have weakened regions (4,7) along the tear line. The intermediate layer can take up or compensate forces in the plane or parallel to the plane of the decor layer at least in the weakened region of the decor layer. The intermediate layer is made of textiles, cardboard or paper.</p> |
