An antenna control device for a digital television using a card type decoder is provided to control an antenna in a direction of highest receiving sensitivity according to receiving sensitivity of broadcasting signals received for a channel tuned by a card type decoder. An antenna control device for a digital television using a card type decoder includes a card type decoder(30) for decoding digital broadcasting signals received from an antenna(10) to receive the signals. A digital signal testing part(50) is input with the digital broadcasting signals decoded by the card type decoder and checks an error rate of the digital signals. A control part(40) is input with a receiving power of the broadcasting signals from the card type decoder and the error rate of the digital signals, and determines a direction of the antenna. An antenna driving part(20) converts a direction of the antenna according to a control signal of the control part. |
