The invention relates to a method for the production of a border bevelled on at least one side of a sheet made from an iron or titanium material, joined to a sheet made from an aluminium material, by means of a welding/brazed joint using an adjunct based on aluminium material and comprising a coating in the joint region preferably based on zinc or aluminium. According to the invention, advantageous production conditions may be achieved, whereby the sheet made from iron or titanium material, coated in the joint region, is chamfered and separated in the bevel region by non-cutting cold-drawing with material flow.
