The invention relates to an electric contact element, in particular a switch spring, preferably a switch spring for a thermal temperature regulator or a thermal fuse. The contact element comprises a strip-shaped support (2), which is made of an electrically conductive elastic material, and an electrically conductive contact layer (3), which is located on a flat side of the strip-shaped support (2) and is connected to the latter. Furthermore, the strip-shaped support (2) and the contact layer (3) are connected together by means of a planar laser-welded connection. The laser-welded connection has a laser-welded seam (4) or a laser-welded cone (4a), each of which extends completely through the cross-sectional area of the strip-shaped support (2) into a sub-section of the cross-sectional area of the adjacent contact layer (3). In order to achieve the planar laser-welded connection, (a) multiple elongated laser-welded seams (4) are arranged along the surface of the strip-shaped support (2), (b) a laser-welded seam (4) runs along the surface of the strip-shaped support in a two-dimensionally oriented manner, and/or (c) a plurality of laser-welded cones (4a) are distributed in a planar manner along the surface of the strip-shaped support. |
