A display drive method for driving a 3D display device. The method comprises: dividing each of a first view and a second view to be displayed into multiple theoretical pixel units, and determining a grey value corresponding a colour of each category of sub pixel in original display information corresponding to each of the theoretical pixel units; for each sub-pixel of each of the views, determining brightness of the sub-pixel according to the grey value corresponding to the colour of the sub-pixel in the original display information corresponding to each of the theoretical pixel units, which is covered by a rectangular sampling area corresponding to the sub-pixel and which the view belongs to. Also provided are a display drive device and a sampling area generation method and device. Complete sampling of a whole display area is realized, and sampling overlapping does not occur, thereby avoiding the problem of image distortion caused by failure of complete sampling or by sampling overlapping. |
