The invention is aimed at nanoparticulate systems for the controlled release of heparin through mucosa. It is specifically aimed at nanoparticulate systems comprising chitosan, heparin and optionally a polyoxyethylenated derivative, and which are ionically cross-linked, as well as being aimed at processes for obtaining them.
