<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display element which has long life and good heat radiating nature. <P>SOLUTION: In the organic EL display 1, a cathode electrode film 21 of one sheet used as the cathode electrodes 18 of each pixels 23 is constituted from a thick aluminum thin film, and an organic EL thin films 15 of each pixels 23 are covered with this cathode electrode film 21. Since the sealing ability of the thick aluminum thin film is very high, the cathode electrode film 21 can serve both as a sealing agent. Moreover, since the cathode electrode film 21 consists of an aluminum thin film and its thermal conductivity is also high, the heat, which is generated in case the organic EL thin films 15 emit light, becomes easy to be emitted outside through the cathode electrode film 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
