Disclosed is a system for locking and unlocking a component, where the system comprises a lock 100 adapted to lock a component, the lock 100 capable of being opened by manipulation of a combination mechanism 200, the lock 100 having a communication apparatus 135 for communicating information related to the opening of the lock 100 with a tool 100. The system further comprises a tool 500 matable with the lock 100 and adapted to open the lock 100 by manipulation of the combination mechanism 200, the tool 500 adapted to receive the communicated information related to the opening of the lock 100 from the communication apparatus 135. Also disclosed are locks 100 and tools 500 suitable for use in such a system, and methods of opening at least one combination lock 100 with a tool 500. |
