The installation is for the secure feed of stacked (1) products (2) to a packing station (3), particularly to a filling pipe (4) of a vertical machine for forming bags. The stacks are fed by means of cassettes (5). The stacks are taken from the cassettes and fed to a stack pick-up (14) and finally from there to a filling pipe feed (17). A conveyor belt (10) transports the cassettes through the installation. A drive (15) activates a pick-up device (11) in a direction (18) crossways to that of transport (12). The stacks are picked up through an open side wall (8) and at least a row (6,13) of them is moved towards a stack collection point (14).
