The invention concerns a method and system for monitoring, transferring and distributing channel-specific QoS data in a packet-switched mobile communication network, in which method QoS data is collected in an element of the mobile communication network. According to the invention, the QoS data is carried in extension fields of IP header data. The invention also concerns a monitoring agent for monitoring, transferring and distributing channel-specific QoS data in a packet-switched mobile communication network.
