Provided is an apparatus for measuring power consumption of a terminal equipped with a wireless communication module and a method thereof. The apparatus for measuring power consumption includes: a voltage measuring unit that measures a voltage supplied to a resistor connecting a terminal of which power consumption has to be measured and an output of a battery supplying power to the terminal; a communication unit that receives an operation mode signal output from the wireless communication module of the terminal; and a controller that calculates power consumed while in a specific operation mode by using a voltage value measured by the voltage measuring unit and a resistance value of the resistor in response to an operation mode signal received through the communication unit. Further, the apparatus for measuring power consumption is manufactured on the basis of a PC (personal computer) , and power consumption according to operation modes of the terminal can be measured on a real time basis. |
