The method involves generating a user key associated to each of several users in a unique manner, forming a bio-capsule (BC), and storing the bio-capsule on a content database (DBC). The bio-capsule has a signed or coded part, a part comprising coded virtual container derived from an image of an original container (IMG) and another part comprising data descriptive information. The signed or coded part contains access rights conferred to each user and reference information identifying or authenticating the users. An independent claim is also included for a system for encapsulating digital data contained in an original container.
