<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion battery capable of holding insulation properties for a long period of time by preventing an aluminum foil face from being in contact with a battery electrolyte inside the battery, even when a heat seal layer of an outer package is cracked. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium ion battery is composed of a lithium battery body which includes an anode composed of an anode active substance and an anode collector, a cathode composed of a cathode active substance and a cathode collector, and an electrolyte filled between the anode and the cathode; the outer package which stores the lithium battery body and hermetically seals the lithium battery body by heat-sealing of its peripheral edge; and a metal lithium ion battery tab which is connected to the anode and cathode while being sandwiched by the outer package, so that its tip is protruded and has a sandwiching part to be heat-sealed. The outer package 5 is composed of a laminated body 10 in which at least a base material layer 11, a barrier layer 12, a chemical conversion treatment layer 15, an insulating layer 13, and a heat seal layer 14 are successively laminated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
