PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interphone device such that a voice etc., in a living room does not leak to a door slave unit while a speech message is transmitted to the door slave unit. SOLUTION: A living-room master unit 11 has: a message sending button 26 for sending a previously stored voice message to the door slave unit 1 in a call state; a message selection button 25 for selecting the message to be sent; and a data memory 24 which stores messages. A CPU 21 of the living-room master unit 11 puts a microphone amplifier 14 of the living-room master unit 11 in muting operation to prevent the voice in the living room from leaking to the door slave unit 1.
