PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk case and a disk guide member by which a magnetic disk wherein expected performance can be obtained and glide height of a magnetic head can be narrowed can be manufactured when a glass substrate for the magnetic disk is manufactured and the magnetic disk is manufactured. SOLUTION: The disk case is provided with a case main body part 10 having a plurality of groove parts housing and holding disks 12 and a guide member 30 attachable to and detachable from the case main body part 10 and having a plurality of guide plates 31 whose parts between guide plates 31 correspond to the groove parts of the case main body part 10. Each guide plate 31 is provided with a protective material 35 having a polishing property to the disk 12 equal to or lower than that of a polishing cloth used for polishing processing performed to the disk 12 after the disk 12 is housed in the disk case, e.g. a final polishing processing.
