PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for choosing contents more suitable for user's taste and feeling at the moment in a random reproducing mode in order not to cause jobs such as creation and choice of a play-list, and retrieval of the contents. SOLUTION: This content choosing method for random reproduction of contents comprises: a first step for storing the order of reproduction of the contents as history information; and a second step for choosing a content to be reproduced next to a content being reproduced from the history information.
