PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the smoothness of the projection and extraction operation of an operation panel, in a cooking stove having the operation panel 7 that can protrude and extract at the front of a front panel through a through-hole 6a formed at the back side of a cooking stove body 1. SOLUTION: On the back side of the front panel 6, a rocking frame 8 is provided which rocks forward and backward with a lower-end shaft 81 as a supporting point located under the through hole 6a. The operation panel 7 is connected to the rocking frame 8 at its rear end so that it can be moved forward through the through hole 6a to the front panel with the rocking of the rocking frame 8. On the front side of the operation panel 7, a front cover 73 is provided which is supported via a lever 74 extending backward on an operation panel 6R in an up-and-down movable manner. When the operation panel 7 exists at a protruded position, the front cover 73 is moved down from the operation panel 7 with the down-rocking of the lever 74 and an engaging portion 74c of the lever 74 engaged with the lower edge of the through hole 6a to prevent the movement of the operation panel 7 backward from the protruded position.
