PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of keeping constant supporting force within a range of operability of a supporting device, with a simple constitution though it does not need a pump. SOLUTION: A hydraulic supporting device 4 supports an engine 3 for a ship at a side with respect to a supporting structure 2 receiving the engine for the ship. The supporting device 4 comprises at least one cylinder 5 having an operation chamber 6 defined by a single-acting piston 7 cooperating with a power transmission device 8. The operation chamber 6 is connected with an accumulator 12 storing hydraulic fluid to which pre-load is applied, by a supply pipe system having at least one branched supply pipe 10.
