摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure satisfactory seal performance when an intake manifold 1 and a connector 2 are assembled in an insertion manner and inhibit thermal deterioration of an elastic seal member 3. SOLUTION: Retention grooves 23 each having a cross section in a tapered chevron shape are formed in a second cylindrical part 22 on a collector 2 side, and protrusions 32 corresponding thereto are formed on an inner peripheral surface 11a of the elastic seal member 3. The elastic seal member 3 is beforehand attached to the second cylindrical part 22 and a first cylindrical part 11 on an intake manifold 1 side is press-fitted onto an outer peripheral surface 3b of the elastic seal member. Satisfactory seal performance is obtained between the elastic seal member 3 and the second cylindrical part 22 owing to engagement of the protrusions 32 and the retention grooves 23 and satisfactory seal performance is also obtained between the elastic seal member and the first cylindrical part 11 owing to reaction force of the projections 32 to an outer peripheral side. As a contact area between the second cylindrical part 22, which becomes low temperature by an intake air flow, and the elastic seal member 3 bocomes large, heat radiation of the elastic seal member 3 is facilitated, and temperature rise is inhibited.
