PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively attenuate duct resonance noise according to installation conditions, in a blower used for ventilation blower equipment installed on a ceiling and wall surface. SOLUTION: The blower and a muffler for the blower capable of effectively attenuating duct resonance noise entering an inside of a casing 5 from a duct 6 according to the installation conditions of the blower, and maintaining sound attenuation characteristics by providing a sound attenuation space 8 acoustically communicating to a casing 5 and including a sound attenuation function capable of changing sound attenuation characteristics on the main body of the blower.
