PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dial lock dispensing with matching of dial number in locking. SOLUTION: This simple dial lock is provided with a rotary shaft 6b arranged inside a cylindrical outer case 6, a tailpiece 7 integrally rotating by engaging with an end part of the rotary shaft and protruding and retreating a dead bolt, the dial 8 rotatably fitted to the rotary shaft and adjusting a code number, a regulating plate 16 integrally rotating by being fitted to the rotary shaft and allowing rotation in the unlocking direction of the outer case by moving along the rotary shaft when adjusting the code number, and a rotation regulating seat 17 rotatably fitted to the rotary shaft, fixed to an installation seat 18, allowing rotation in the locking direction of the regulating plate and having an inclined part for moving the regulating plate toward a cutout part of a conversion dial 12 along the rotary shaft in rotation in the unlocking direction. When rotating the outer case in the locking direction, the regulating plate is allowed to rotate, and similarly rotates in the locking direction, and since the dead bolt is projected and locked via the tailpiece, matching the dial number is not required in the locking.
