PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parachute having a large resistance coefficient and excellent stability and capable of suppressing an increase of weight to the minimum. SOLUTION: This parachute is provided with a canopy 1 which becomes almost hemispheric upon inflation. The canopy 1 is provided with a canopy edge part 12 constituting a hemispheric open surface, a canopy top part 11 for forming a top part of the canopy 1, and a canopy center part 13 for connecting the canopy edge part 12 and the canopy top part 11. A plurality of pockets 15 opened in the open surface direction at the canopy center part 13 or from the canopy center part 13 to the canopy edge part 12 are provided in the peripheral direction.
