Device for controlling the flow of a pressure device comprises a pressure regulating valve (1) to control the flow of the pressure device and having a working pressure side and a pressure sensor (3) which feeds a return parameter (4) to a first comparison site (5) to form a closed control circuit (14). A higher ranking control circuit (15) is connected to the closed control circuit and a control deviating theoretical value (6) is fed to a control deviating unit (7). An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling the flow of a pressure device using the above device. Preferred Features: The pressure regulating valve is a valve seat. The pressure sensor is arranged in the pressure regulating valve. The higher ranking control circuit can be removed from the closed control circuit.
