<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bipolar battery which can be manufactured by filling electrolyte after battery elements are assembled, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: A sealing material 8 having an aperture 15 at a part is formed at the peripheral part of a positive electrode side of a current collector 2 in which the positive electrode and a negative electrode are formed. Since the current collectors 2 are laminated a plurality of pieces, the positive electrode and the negative electrode interposed between the current collectors 2 are sealed by the sealing material 8 independently respectively, and since each current collector has the aperture 15, electrolyte is filled between the positive electrode and the negative electrode interposed by the current collectors 2 from this aperture 15.
