<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent members in a casing from easily burning in a radiation detection device. <P>SOLUTION: A cassette 1 (the radiation detection device) for radiation detection is provided inside the sealed casing 10 with a radiation solid state detector 5, an imaging device; a base 12 for holding the radiation solid state detector 5; an electric circuit board 14 for acquiring image signals by detecting a current flowing out from the radiation solid state detector 5; a column 13 for fixing the electric circuit board 14 to the base 12; a flexible circuit board 15 for connecting the radiation solid state detector 5 to the electric circuit board 14; and an electric power source part 16.
