PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving image reproducing device for reproducing a moving image thumbnail by trick playback, based on moving image thumbnail information acquired from moving image information. SOLUTION: The moving image reproducing device includes a moving image holder; a moving image thumbnail information acquiring section; a display section for displaying a moving image thumbnail, based on the moving image thumbnail information; a reproducer for reproducing the moving image thumbnail to be displayed by trick playback; an arrangement part for arranging the moving image thumbnail in the display section, based on the moving image thumbnail information; a selector for receiving the selection of the arranged moving image thumbnail from a user; and an icon output for displaying an icon for trick reproduction in the display section in association with the selected moving image thumbnail, or a moving image thumbnail reproduction state determining part for determining the reproduction state of the moving image thumbnail in response to the selection of the selector.
