PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matte polybutylene terephthalate resin composition, which enables direct matting via injection molding and obtaining a molded product with a uniform and homogenous matte surface even in the presence of differences in its wall thickness and the molded product thereof. SOLUTION: The matte polybutylene terephthalate resin composition comprises 45 to 96.5 wt.% of a polybutylene terephthalate resin, in which the weight ratio in aromatic dicarboxylic acid and specifically the weight ratio of terephthalic acid to isophthalic acid ranges from 100/0 to 50/50, 3 to 25 wt.% of a polycarbonate resin and/or a polyarylate resin, and 0.5 to 30 wt.% of synthetic mica and/or silica.
