PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device capable of reducing the weight of a traverse mechanism, achieving high sliding between the guide part of a mechanical chassis and the guide reception part of a pickup, and realizing friction resistance. SOLUTION: A guide part 14 arranged in parallel with a main spindle 13 is formed integrally with a resin mechanical chassis 11. A sliding member 15 is arranged between the guide reception part 16 of a pickup and the guide part 14.
