PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single focal lens capable of obtaining a high-performance and compact lens system, which is constituted of a small number of lenses. SOLUTION: The single focal lens is equipped with: a first lens G1 having positive power, whose surface on an object side is formed to be convex; a second lens G2 being a negative meniscus lens whose surface on the object side is formed to be concave paraxially; and a third lens G3 being an aspherical lens whose surface on the object side is formed to be convex paraxially in order from the object side. By satisfying a predetermined conditional expression and optimizing the glass material of the first and the second lenses G1 and G2 while securing compactness, the high-performance and compact lens system, which is constituted of a small number of lenses, that is, three lenses, is obtained.
