PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To providea mounting structure for a camera module which stabilizes the position of the camera module, is strong against drop strength, and can be positioned hardly causing the restriction on a contact system of a contact on the socket side. SOLUTION: An image pickup device and its peripheral circuit components are mounted on the camera module 1 and the camera module 1 is provided with a ceramic substrate 2 having a contact 2a on the camera side to be connected with an external circuit and an optical unit 3 which forms an image on the image pickup device. Four corners 7a of a holder 7 which is a main body of the optical unit 3 is provided with ribs 8 for positioning projected to external dimensions of the ceramic substrate 2. A socket 11 is positioned with the internal surface 11a by the ribs 8 for positioning, the camera module 1 is electrically joined to and mechanically fixed to a printed substrate 10 via the socket 11 mounted on the printed substrate 10.
