PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the situation where a downwardly pointing lower side nozzle port in the vicinity of an electrode of a spark plug is largely positionally dislocated in the vertical direction among a plurality of nozzle ports of a fuel injection valve. SOLUTION: The fuel injection valve 18 is arranged in a peripheral edge part of a combustion chamber, and has the plurality of nozzle ports (the axis of the respective nozzle ports is L1 to L6). The axis L1 of a specific lower side nozzle port among the plurality of nozzle ports, is pointed to the lower side in the vicinity of the electrode E of the spark plug 16. Among the respective nozzle ports, the axis L1 of the lower side nozzle port is set so as to become the nearest position to the axis LB of the fuel injection valve 18. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
