PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stop control device of an internal combustion engine capable of controlling variations in stopping positions of a crankshaft at the stop of the internal combustion engine even if an auxiliary machine is operated when stopping the internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: In a stop control device which stops the combustion of an engine 1 when satisfying prescribed engine stop conditions, an ECU 100 sets a determining rotation speed range for determining the stop of the combustion of the engine 1 on the basis of a target stop range for stopping a crankshaft 12 at the stop of the engine 1 while acquiring the rotation speed of the engine 1, estimates brake torque for decelerating the crankshaft 12 on the basis of operating states of auxiliary machines 16, 17 and 18 driven by the crankshaft 12 and corrects the determining rotation speed range on the basis of the estimated brake torque. When the prescribed engine stop condition is satisfied and the rotation speed of the engine 1 is determined to be within the determining rotation speed range, the combustion of the engine 1 thereafter is stopped.
