PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic water generator which can efficiently produce electrolytic water with a desired pH value even if bath voltage is suppressed to a low level, and displacement is reduced. SOLUTION: The electrolytic water generator comprises a cathode 1, an anode 2 disposed at a prescribed distance from the cathode 1 so as to face the cathode 1, a diaphragm 3 installed between the cathode 1 and the anode 2 a cathode flow channel 6 installed between the cathode 1 and the diaphragm 3 to circulate raw water from the inlet to the outlet, and generates electrolytic water by applying a voltage between the cathode 1 and the node 2. The diaphragm 3 is installed in the vicinity of the anode 2, and a water flow passage 7 with a narrow passage width is installed between the diaphragm 3 and the anode 2. A part of the raw water flowing through the cathode flow channel 6 is made to pass through the diaphragm 3, and discharged together with hydrogen ions generated on the surface of the anode 2 outside of a system through the water flow passage 7.
