PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polylactic acid composite that shows little change in strength at around 60°C, which is the glass transition temperature of a polylactic acid, is equipped with flexibility at 60°C or lower and has a shape-retention property at 60°C or higher, and a method for preparing the same. SOLUTION: The polylactic acid composite is prepared by crosslinking a polylactic acid molded product to produce a crosslinked polylactic acid, immersing the crosslinked polylactic acid in a liquid impregnating material at a temperature not lower than the glass transition temperature of the polylactic acid but not higher than the melting point thereof and cooling the crosslinked polylactic acid containing the impregnating material infiltrated therein in a swollen state to a temperature not higher than the glass transition temperature of the polylactic acid to compound the polylactic acid with the impregnating material. In the polylactic acid composite prepared through the method, the impregnating material is infiltrated in a crosslinking network of the polylactic acid. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
