PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel monomer for epoxy resins and its manufacturing method, specifically a novel substance of bis(glycidyloxy)decalin and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: By curing (polymerizing) this novel substance of bis(glycidyloxy)decalin, an epoxy resin which has low water absorption and moisture absorption and excels in mechanical strength and optical properties is obtained.
