PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic apparatus suitable for carrying a medical capsule in a body cavity, a hood for an endoscope, and a method of carrying the medical capsule. SOLUTION: The endoscopic apparatus comprises a hood member 200 attached to the distal end 44 of an insertion part 12 of the endoscope 10, and a projection part 200E disposed at the distal end of the hood member 200 for changing the posture of the medical capsule 220 by moving the medical capsule 220 retained in the body cavity.
