PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedometer which can presume the physical age of a person to be measured from characteristics in usual walking. SOLUTION: In the walking-meter which is attached to the central part of the trunk of the person to be measured M, an operation part 4 determines whether the person to be measured is in a walking situation or not from an acceleration detected by a biaxial acceleration sensor 2, acquires the ratio (Rxy=Sy/Sx) of a variation average Sx of the acceleration in the direction of movement and a variation average Sy of the acceleration in the lateral direction for a prescribed period at several times in a day in the walking situation, performs the processing to presume the physical age of the person to be measured M from the acquired ratio Rxy and the correlation stored in a memory section 3, and displays the presumption result on a display section 5.
