The invention relates to a bicycle provided with an adjustable frame which consists of a head tube (2), a seat post (3) whose lower end (3a) is fixed to a bracket shell (4), a cross bar (5) extending between the head tube (2) and the seat post (3) and a down tube (6) whose lower end (6a) is connected to the bracket shell (4). The cross bar (5) consists of two parts, i.e., a male part (7), preferably in the form of a front part, and a female part (8), which is preferably embodied in the form of a rear part in such a way that it is slidable with respect to the other part though a limited length (L), for example, of the order of 10 cm. The inventive frame (1) also comprises means for locking the male and female parts (7, 8) in a predetermined position and the down tube extends between the bracket shell (4) and the rear part (8) of the cross bar (5).
