<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of securing uniformity of the amount of lubricant applied on the surface of an image carrier with comparatively simple and low-cost constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The photoreceptor cleaning unit 15 includes: a cleaning blade 15a for scraping residual toner left after transfer from the surface of the photoreceptor belt 1 while coming into contact with the photoreceptor belt 1; the solid lubricant 15c; a coating brush 15b for scraping lubricant from the solid lubricant 15c and applying the lubricant on the photoreceptor belt 1; and an energizing means (not illustrated) for energizing the solid lubricant 15c toward the coating brush 15b. The cleaning unit 15 function as a cleaning apparatus for cleaning the residual toner left after transfer on the photoreceptor belt 1 and also as a lubricant supply apparatus for supplying the lubricant on the surface of the photoreceptor belt 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
