摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device, capable of preventing deterioration of detection accuracy of a traveling azimuth, using a magnetometric sensor caused by an influence of a magnetic body around the magnetometric sensor, and specifying accurately a traveling position by detecting the traveling azimuth by using the magnetometric sensor, even when GPS signal cannot be received, and an azimuth calculation method for calculating the traveling azimuth accurately from an output value from the magnetometric sensor. SOLUTION: When GPS signal can be received, the traveling azimuth is calculated from the positional information from GPS and from an output value from a gyro sensor. When GPS signal cannot be received, the traveling azimuth is calculated from the output value from the magnetometric sensor on reference to an azimuth calculation table. When the traveling azimuth is calculated from the positional information from the GPS and from the output value from the gyro sensor, the calculated traveling azimuth and the output value from the magnetometric sensor are recorded as updating data for the calculation table of the magnetometric sensor.
