PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal ion adsorbent for water treatment which has recyclable physical and chemical stability, and high ion selectivity, and is suitable for solid-liquid separation in water. SOLUTION: The metal ion adsorbent for water treatment is made by coating the surface of zeolite with a practically water-insoluble organic polymer. The organic polymer has a solubility parameter of≥14 cal<SP>0.5</SP>cm<SP>-1.5</SP>. More desirably, the particle size of the adsorbent is≥0.05μm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
